Shannon "The Canon" Hudson, World Kickboxing Champion, and his visionary wife, Heather, wanted to create a place where busy people could do exercises without planning their lives by setting time for specific classes or spending many hours at the club. Shannon had martial arts and a passion for fitness and this was the main idea of ​​creating Round 9. After more than 70 boxing matches inside the ring, Hudson has found that there is no place where the average person would be subjected to top secret training of some of the best boxers in the world. In July 2008, the first site for the ninth round was opened on Butler Road in Greenville, South Carolina. As the company grew, Shannon and Heather continued to focus on improving and expanding operations to facilitate them for franchisees and believe that everyone deserves quality in training, and this was their motivation for continuity towards the brand. After its humble beginnings, with that single location in Greenville, SC, there are now over 700 9Round clubs open and operating throughout 3 states and 19 countries, with over 500 more in various stages of development.
