The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has introduced the Nusuk pilgrim card for the upcoming Hajj 2024, aiming to streamline processes and enhance safety measures for pilgrims.

Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah unveiled the Nusuk card during an official visit to Indonesia, where he exchanged copies with Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs Yaqut Cholil Qoumas. The card launch aligns with Saudi Arabia's commitment to providing top-tier services for pilgrims, especially as Indonesia sends its largest-ever contingent of 241,000 pilgrims.

This initiative marks the latest in a series of reforms aimed at leveraging advanced technology to simplify Hajj procedures and deter unauthorized access to holy sites, ensuring the safety and security of all pilgrims.

The Nusuk pilgrim card, available in both digital and physical formats, serves as a comprehensive tool for pilgrims, providing vital information and facilitating interactions with relevant authorities. Pilgrims can access the digital version via the Nusuk and Tawakkalna applications, while the print copy will be distributed through official channels.

Key services provided by the card include identity verification, access to personal data and health records, and communication with Hajj missions. Pilgrims are required to carry the card at all times during their Hajj journey, from arrival to departure, and it is mandatory for travel within Makkah, Madinah, and the Holy Sites.

Additionally, the card enables pilgrims to receive alerts, evaluate services, and submit observations or complaints digitally, enhancing overall Hajj experience and communication with authorities.

As part of its efforts to combat fraudulent Hajj activities, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah urges pilgrims to obtain the Nusuk card through official channels and warns against engaging with unauthorized service providers.

Furthermore, the ministry's "Jusoor Initiative" aims to strengthen international communication and streamline procedures for pilgrims worldwide, underscoring Saudi Arabia's commitment to serving the guests of God.

The Muslim World League has applauded the Saudi Council of Senior Scholars' statement emphasizing the necessity of obtaining a permit for Hajj, highlighting the importance of ensuring a smooth and lawful pilgrimage experience for all.
